Fairbanks Area Volunteer Training

Come to this training to learn about the research and join the Project BrownDown team. During the training you will learn to identify local native and invasive plants, and how to collect data on their changing fall leaves. All adults and youth welcome to participate.

Training Webinar- All volunteers must receive training to ensure that we are all collecting data in the same way across the state. We have delivered in-person trainings and and a live webinar training for participants. If you missed these opportunities and still want to participate, have no fear. During the training, you will get an overview of the dynamics between climate change and invasive species in Alaska. You will also receive training on how to select your plants, find a site that works for you, and collect and submit data.
