Work Experience

• Worked for 20 years with San Miguel Corporation’s Operations Research (OR) Department. Under her watch, SMC was given the Operations Research Society of America (ORSA)Prize in 1992 for ‘sustained and consistent use of OR In  organizational decision-making’, the 1st non-American Company to win the award. Retired in 2000 as Vice President.
• Lectured at the UP Graduate School of Engineering and Accenture’s  Operations Management for BPO Operations MBA Program
• Since 2003, Chief Financial Officer of One Small Step
Forward Foundation, Inc., the family advocacy set up by the del Rosario couple. .

Other Education
• International Research Fellow at the Stanford Research Institute, in Physical Distribution and Materials Management,1984.
• BS Industrial Eng’g & Operations Research, U.P., 1977.

Awards & Recognition
• 2013 Professional Degree Awardee for Industrial Engineering, University of the Philippines given by the UP Alumni Engineers.
• 1999 Gawad Lagablab awardee  for  Most Outstanding Alumni in Industry,  by  the Philippine Science  High School Alumni Association.

Professional Contributions
• President  of  the 50-year old 30,000 member strong International
Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS) from 2007-2009,  the 1st woman and only 2nd Asian to be elected to the post.
 • Founding Member and 2nd President of the Operations Research Society of  the Philippines.  President  of  the  Asia  Pacific Operations  Research Society (APORS), 2002-2005.
 • Management  Science  Roundtable  Member  of  the  U.S.   Institute  for
Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS). On editorial Board of:  Journal  of  the Operational  Research  Society  (JORS),  United Kingdom  International  Transactions  in  Operations  Research  (ITOR), ORION,  the Journal  of the Operations Research Society of South Africa, International Abstracts in Operations Research(IAOR).
• Founding member o f the ORSP

Committee on OR for Public Service.
