 AQH-M-01. Scientist discovers EO data

01.1. Scientist chooses search functionality.

01.2. Scientist defines the spatial and/or temporal extent

01.4. Scientist defines data theme (variable).

01.5. Scientist may define spectral variables  
01.6. Scientist activates the search.  
01.7. The system performs relevant search against its catalog  
01.8. The portal browser returns and shows the search results in map and/or tabular format   

 AQH-M-02. Scientist explores EO data

02.1. Scientist inspects individual datasets and their metadata in interactive browser

02.2. Scientist determines if the data quality is adequate (e.g. error is acceptable, missing values below thresholds, enough values present for analysis) .

 02.3. Scientist has a mechanism to select the data (mark it as useful) if it is adequte for the task


AQH-M-03. Scientist accesses EO data


03.1. Scientist confirms the datasets for access


03.2 Scientist accepts any terms and conditions on the use of the data


03.3. Scientist selects a download location or parameterises a service endpoint


03.4. Scientist may request a subset of the data on some dimension


03.5. Scientist executes the data access.

 04.1. Scientist detemines the pre-processing actions/steps necessary  
 04.2. Scientist parameterises pre-processing action(s)/step(s)  
 04.3. Scientist chains pre-processing actions/steps where possible

 04.5. System records provenance of pre-processing  
 04.6. Scientist performs any manual pre-processing actions/steps, tracking provenance
