General:
Your grade in this class is based on mastery of the learning targets, which are based upon the Minnesota State Standards for this course.
This is primarily a digital classroom. You are expected to access course materials, including the textbook, online. Hard copies of the textbook are available upon request.
Formative learning activities (prep work, formative assessments, remediation, case studies, etc.) will be distributed and submitted using Google docs/forms/slides/quizzes via Google Classroom.
Prep Work & Formative Assessments:
Prep work (from the book) and formative assessments will be required for each learning target in the course. These requirements are in place to ensure your preparation and provide you with meaningful feedback regarding learning target progress. If extra practice is needed, remediation will also be required before unit assessments may be taken.
Unit Assessments:
Unit assessments are organized and scored by learning target.
Each section of the assessment includes questions of varying difficulty, and are weighted accordingly.
Each unit assessment includes multiple choice questions and a written comprehension section.
If mastery of one or more learning targets is not demonstrated, students may take advantage of additional opportunities to show proficiency. This rubric will be applied to re-assessment attempts.
Grading:
Your grade in this class will be based upon the following scale, which represents a student's most recent or frequent level of understanding of a learning target (depending on the teacher's determination of what is most accurate):
