Once again AGA is participating in the Salvation Angel Tree program. Last year we provided gifts for 17 Child Angels. We need you or your office to adopt a Child Angel or Silver Bell Angel (senior citizen) to provide gifts for the holidays.   The Salvation Army wants to know how many angels we want by September 30th, Once they provide the angel names, Belinda will pick up the Angel tags that include gift suggestions – usually an outfit, shoes or coat, and age appropriate toy.  Angel names come from social service agencies and schools that refer families to the Salvation Army for help at Christmas.  Belinda will pick up the gift from you and deliver to the Salvation Army warehouse by early December.  Please contact Belinda Riley for details - briley@oig.doc.gov 404-730-2067

 President's Message

A Message from the President

Thank you for visiting the Atlanta Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants’ (AGA) website.

The Atlanta Chapter of AGA is a vibrant chapter comprised of a host of government financial accountability professionals like accountants, auditors, finance officers, budget officers, and analysts from federal, state and local entities.  We meet four times a year offering 3 hours of continuing professional education credits for 3 of our meetings and the 4th one offer 8 hours of continuing professional education credits.

Our chapter is busy in various ways to provide information and services to members and professionals in our area.  Although we meet only four times a year, the officers and committees maintain a busy schedule behind the scenes working energetically on various activities ranging from participating in community charity events to organizing study groups and materials for CGFM candidates to keeping the chapter alive with relevant programs and training opportunities for the financial community in the metro Atlanta area.  We strive to provide things you will need, so check back often on the web site to see what is new!

I encourage you to get involved.  The Atlanta Chapter welcomes your contributions.  If there are particular topics or speakers you would like to see, then let us know.  Feel free to reach out to one of us.  If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions please let me know. We are here to serve you.

I look forward to a great productive chapter year!
