High expectations and high aspirations for all
These are exciting and changing times for Winton Community Academy as we put in place the building blocks to ensure outstanding education for all our students.
Winton has changed dramatically in the last six months and the recent Department for Education and OFSTED visits have both noted that Winton has taken significant strides in the right direction. From September 2014 the journey will continue apace, with a relentless focus on excellent teaching and high expectations and aspirations for all students.
The vision for Winton Community Academy is to be an outstanding provider of innovative, engaging and enjoyable education which allows every individual to achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment. This will be achieved with students, staff, parents, governors, AET and the wider community all working together to reach this common goal.
At Winton we want happy, positive, engaged students who have high expectations for themselves and aspire to achieve fabulous things in their futures. We have studied the curriculum for all year groups to make sure that it is sufficiently challenging and engaging and supports all students in achieving their ambitions.
Working with young people at this crucial stage in their lives is a great responsibility and a privilege. I know that all of the staff at Winton are passionate and fully committed to making a difference for every individual student in the coming months and years as Winton builds on the strong foundations which are now in place.
