  • Principal's Blog Friday 3rd July We have had another busy week in the glorious sunshine at Sandown. I was pleased to meet the Year 6 students again this week and to see that they are confident, happy and excited to start with us in September. Year 13 students enjoyed their end of term celebration last Friday evening, marking the end of their five years at Sandown Bay Academy. I wish them every success in the future, either at university or in employment.   • Principal's Blog - Friday 26th June What a week…..a week that has highlighted how SBA students embrace extra-curricular opportunities; over 120 students took part in Yellow House Walk last Friday, over 70 students competed in Global Rock on Saturday and over 350 students excelled themselves in running The Baylink Olympics. I am incredibly proud of all of you, each of these events are special and involve an exceptional amount of hard work and determination. Well done to every single student who helped to run this year’s Baylink Olympics, one of the largest student-led events in the Country.   • Principal's Blog - Friday 19th June Congratulations to the 150 students who are taking part in Yellow House Walk today to raise money for Earl Mountbatten Hospice. Some students started walking at 10.30pm last night and will finish at 8.30pm tonight! Well done for your determination and resilience. Congratulations to the Year 7 and 8 students who competed in the island schools athletics championships  hosted at SBA this week. Well done to everyone who qualified to represent the Isle of Wight at the Hampshire Championships. Another impressive turn out for Inter House this week, with tennis, dodgeball and sewing bee taking place.
