Please can we ask all parents to check their children's heads for headlice which, unfortunately, are a constant problem in primary schools. If we can all be vigilant this weekend and treat any nits or eggs then hopefully we can avoid any outbreak this half term.

The 'Stronger Families' team will be in the academy on Monday morning. The team specialise in helping families who are in crisis or feel that they are moving towards that point. This year they are aiming to hold monthly drop in sessions in all the local schools. You can come and meet with them at any time between 10:00 and 11:00 on Monday.

The Macmillan Coffee event raised £100 for the cancer charity - a big thank you to all who took part.

The first batch of letters has gone out this week for pupils whose parents expressed an interest in them learning to play a musical instrument. As we have had such a positive response we are giving priority to older pupils but expect to follow up with a second batch of letters in the next few weeks so that we can have as many scholars as possible learning to play. We are aiming to put together our own mini-brass band by this time next year and keep up the local tradition.

Please can we have any outstanding home/academy agreements in asap so that we know all your parental choices.
