Coronavirus Update - Meadstead Primary Academy
Parents/carers will be notified immediately should we have any confirmed cases of infection at Meadstead, but until this point we would encourage you to remain calm and follow the Government's advice on prevention: https://t.co/ZYYFNxwJXf?amp=1
We will not be holding whole school assemblies next week (including our celebration assembly) to reduce any risks. We've also requested that any visitors planning to come to Meadstead are postponed. Again, this is to reduce any risks and to keep everyone safe.
We'll continue to keep you all posted as we are guided by the governments decision. For now, it’s better that we all try to keep calm and ensure the children are safe and not alarmed by the current situation.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL AFTERSCHOOL CLUBS WILL BE CANCELLED AS OF WEDNESDAY 18TH MARCH - WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE CASUED.
ALL CHILDREN ARE BEING GIVEN LEARNING PACKS TO BRING HOME TODAY (PAPERBASED AND ONLINE RESOURCES) - THIS IS NOT A SIGN THAT WE ARE CLOSING AT THE END OF TODAY WE WILL REMAIN OPEN AS LONG AS WE ARE ALLOWED AND WILL ONLY CLOSE ON THE DIRECTION OF THE GOVERNMENT OR IF WE HAVE MET STAGE 4 OF THE SCHOOL CONTINGENCY ACTION PLAN (SEE TO YOUR RIGHT) REGARDING INSUFFICIENT STAFFING. WE HAVE MADE THE DECISION TO SEND HOME TODAY DUE TO THE NUMBER OF FAMILIES STARTING TO SELF ISOLATE.
School is now closed (for the forseeable future) for all children except children with a EHCP, children in the vulnerable category or children of key workers who have no alternative child care. If you feel you fall into these categories please contact us immediately. Ultimately, DFE guidelines state where a child can stay at home they should stay at home but we appreciate these are unprecidented times and will handle each case on an individual basis in accordance with DFE guidelines. Thank you your ongoing patience and understanding in this time of crisis.
If you have medical concerns, please call 111 for advice.
