I received my Masters in Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver and have been with Westminster Public Schools for one year as a School Counselor.  My favorite part of being a school counselor is helping students realize the incredible opportunities for their future!  No matter what your interests or abilities, there is  a path for each student to have a successful life.  In my free time, I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and traveling.  I am very excited to get to know you all this school year!

I am starting my 5th year as a school counselor at Westy! My favorite part about being a school counselor is watching students grow, learn, and reach their goals. Hearing the exciting adventures that our alumni are experiencing after high school make being a counselor very rewarding. Outside of school I love hiking, yoga, dancing, football, and exploring Colorado with my dogs, Ozzy and Buckley.

This is my third year as a counselor at Westy – go Wolves!  Before that, I was a middle school science/social studies teacher for 12 years in Adams 12 Five Star Schools and Wisconsin.  My favorite thing about being a school counselor is encouraging and empowering kids to solve their academic and personal-social issues.  I love my job – it keeps me on my toes and is never boring!  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, running, yoga, heading to the mountains to hike and camp and watching sports (I’m a huge Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers fan). Looking forward to another incredible school year at WHS!

I have been a counselor at Westy for 10 years and was a middle school counselor at Hodgkins Middle School and Clear Lake Middle School for four years before that.  I absolutely love my job because I love to help students and see them grow!  My favorite part of my job is running my Peer Mediator program.  Outside of school, I love hanging out and going on adventures with my twin boys, who are 7 years old!

Hello, my name is Erin Brnak. This is my 11th year in education, all served at Westminster High School. My first nine years I was the Family and Consumer Science teacher here at Westy and then last year I broke into my new role as a school counselor. I am a proud Colorado native who enjoys everything Colorado has to offer including our crazy weather,  our amazing mountain views, and of course, the Denver Broncos. Things I enjoy include, dancing, camping, cooking, and spending time with my family.  The best part about being a school counselor is seeing the amazing transformation my students go through within those four years and watching them walk out of here with confidence and aspirations. I am looking forward to an exciting new school year. If there is anything I can do to help with your student, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I have been in education for 20 years.  My first two years were as a Special Education teacher in West Virginia.  My last 18 years have been as a school counselor in Colorado and Westminster Public Schools.  My hobbies include hiking, biking, reading, and cooking. My favorite part of being a school counselor is sharing excitement with students who have achieved a goal they have worked hard for. I love being a part of seeing students grow and hearing about what they have learned. This is what makes me love being a school counselor!
