Weekly Professionalism Grade Rubric:
4 = EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS
Always on task, participating and prepared. A model for others. Consistently singing and not talking.
3 = MEETS EXPECTATIONS
On task, participating and prepared. Consistently follows directions well and is singing.
2 = PARTIALLY MEETS EXPECTATIONS
Sometimes on task. Has to be reminded to participate. Distracts others.
1 = DOES NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS
Not participating or not on task. Interfering with the learning of others.
Honor Choir Auditions will take place on Tues. 10/6 or Thurs. 10/8 during lunch. Online learners can audition via zoom. Anyone interested should email Mrs. Dunninger
We will rehearse Monday & Friday mornings from 8:10-8:45. Members will come on their in-person learning day, not both. We start Mon. 10/12

MUSIC STANDARDS
EXPRESSION OF MUSIC
The expression of music is the process of practice, refinement, and performance of acquired musical knowledge and skills to communicate a range of thoughts and emotions.
CREATION OF MUSIC
The creation of music is the demonstration of learned skills in the composition, improvisation, and arranging of music.
THEORY OF MUSIC
The theory of music is the understanding of the distinctive language, conventions, mechanics, and structure of organized sound. Investigation of music theory allows for a more complete understanding of all aspects of the musical process.
AESTHETIC VALUATION OF MUSIC
The aesthetic valuation of music focuses on the knowledge and perspectives needed to make informed evaluations and critiques of music. It also addresses the historical, cultural, and societal contexts which are often the beauty, heart, and soul of music.
