Any late work for this needs to be turned in by Monday, or will be permanent zeros in the grade book.

Thursday, November 6

Reading and response to Montesquieu and Rousseau.

Students will wrap up enlightenment philosophy with an application of ideas by creating a candy bar/snack that expresses the ideas of two Enlightenment philosophers. See "Enlightenment candy Bar" below for directions

We are starting research on the Renaissance presentation project. Students will have access to Chromebooks to put together a presentation that covers a piece of Renaissance Art. These will be presented in November.

Students will be given the expectations of the project today. This is a joint-project that will be graded as a summative assessment for both English and World History.

Students will be given the THE RENAISSANCE AND HUMANISM notes (attached below) to give further context.

Tuesday, October 21

Students will annotate the text, Renaissance Humanism, and then answer a set of questions. There are two short document analyses that go with this. This is due at the beginning of class on Thursday. This all is attached below in "Renaissance Humanism Packet."

Monday, October 20

Students will read an introductory reading on the Middle Ages, Feudalism and Manorialism, which is attached below
