I am one of the "more seasoned" guys in the math department. I have taught for 50 years: 17 in Kansas, 1 semester in California, 16 years in the Denver Public Schools, and the past 16 years here at Legacy.
Although I'm not tired, I plan to be "re-tired" by the end of this school year. I have three children: Kevin, Kala, and Kimberly who all graduated from Northglenn HS. My wife Melanie has 3 children, Derek, Dayna and Danae, who grew up with my 3 while we were all living in Lyons, Kansas, and I consider them to also be my children. We are blessed with 21 grandchildren. Eleven of our grandkids live close by, so I get to see them as often as I want. In addition, my oldest grandchild, Sydney (Bennett) Grimm, graduated from Legacy - Class of 2013 - and has now graduated from Metro State in Denver. Sydney married Colin Grimm on August 5th, 2016.  My son and his wife, Skye, moved to Anderson, Indiana, in March of 2007 so we don't get to see their daughter, Miranda, and son, Talin, as often as we would like.

I enjoy reading, golfing, cutting and splitting firewood, singing and playing the piano. Up until a few years ago, I played a little basketball with grandsons Parker and Kaden (Horizon HS senior). Melanie and I enjoy attending various events in which Legacy students are participating.
