Welcome to the Westwood Media Center : Let's Read!
Fill your house with stacks of books, in all the crannies and all the nooks. -Dr. Seuss

Start preparing now for Summer Reading!  If you do not have a library card to the Abbeville County Library, get one soon!

Hey...did you know??
  • Independent reading occurs when:
  •  kids have a personal choice of the reading materials they want.
  • Kids  have access to graphic novels, magazines, books, newspapers.  All age appropriate text is fair game!
  • There is no test or report to be given. Come on, people let's read for FUN!!!
  •  Parents are willing to answer questions on what the child has read, and discuss other ideas that come from the reading.

Great minds are not born from endless TV watching and video game playing.   Find a balance for all the things you enjoy doing.
