The children prayed this morning for the victims of the 9/11 attack and the families affected by this tragic event. First grade was visited by members of the Bogalusa Fire Department, and many age appropriate activities were conducted throughout the day. God Bless America and the people who protect our freedom.

There are no words that express my appreciation for everyone’s hard work on the Bean Dinner.  We are still gathering receipts. I will let you know how much we made when all expenses are paid.  It appears that we sold around 920 dinners. Meals that were left at the end were given to shut-ins and elderly neighbors of those working the dinner.  We also sent food to the doctors and nurses who were working at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital.

Security cameras are being installed at the school.  This will mean added security for the children and hopefully help with our recent vandalism issues. Donations are being received to help defray this expense.  I will let you know the donors when all money is collected. Cost is approximately $6,000.

Please review the ACS Dress code policy.  There are several areas that need attention.  Father Bru has commented on the length of some boys’ hair.  Some of the girls have skirts that are too short. Even on free dress days, shorts are to be uniform length. Gym shorts are too short, especially on girls with long legs. Socks are supposed to show two inches above the tennis shoes—no ankle socks. Write ups for uniform violations will be given starting on Monday.  Thanks for your cooperation.

Progress Reports will go home next Thursday.  Now is the time to check grades on Rediker and turn in late assignments so that students will not receive bad grades or incompletes.

Friday is the 13th and a full moon.  Have a great week!
