We were thrilled and humbled at ACS to receive “The Best Private School in Washington Parish” Award from the readers of The Daily News. The surprise was even better when we learned that Tabetha Ezell had won for “Best Teacher in Washington Parish.” Thanks to everyone who voted for ACS and Mrs. Ezell.
FALL FESTIVAL

The Fall Festival is getting closer. Plans are being finalized for a great night of family fun and delicious food. Please invite your neighbors and friends to join you on Saturday, October 7th from 5:00-8:00 PM. On the back of this letter, you will find information regarding a family pumpkin decorating contest. Purchase a pumpkin and decide on how you will decorate it to enter the contest on Thursday, October 5th. All pumpkins can be brought home at the conclusion of the Fall Fest. The costume contest will take place at 6:00 PM. Bert Burr will be here to take beautiful fall family portraits. Room Mothers will contact you to help with the classroom booths. It is important that EVERY family volunteer for the Festival to run smoothly.

COOKIE DOUGH
Friday, September 29th is the last day to turn in your Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough order. Thanks to everyone who is working so hard to make the fundraiser a success. Do not forget that there are prize incentives for top selling families.
KC TURKEY SHOOT
The Knights of Columbus will hold their annual Turkey Shoot on October 28th. There is a raffle that is being held in conjunction with the Shoot. Tickets are $5.00 and can be obtained at ACS. First prize is $700; second prize is $200; and third prize is $100. Proceeds from the raffle will be shared with ACS. If you are interested in purchasing a ticket, send your money in an envelope or stop by the office.

SPIRIT SHIRTS
2017-18 ACS spirit shirts arrived yesterday and should have been brought home by your child. Remember, these will be worn on field trips. Every Friday is Spirit Shirt Day at ACS. Students are allowed to wear any ACS shirt with uniform bottoms and shoes.
