On behalf of the ACS staff, I would like to wish all our mothers, grandmothers, step-mothers, and aunts a happy and blessed Mother’s Day.  Annunciation Catholic School could not exist without your love, prayers, and support.  We appreciate all that you do for the school more than you will ever know.  Thanks also for all the Teacher Appreciation gifts, cards, flowers, etc. that we have received for Teacher Appreciation Week.

Sister Mary Ellen Wheelaham, Director of Safe Environment, will visit ACS on Friday to address the influence of technology and society on children’s lives.  She will also talk to the students about bullying-- cyber, verbal, and physical. Please read her letter on back of this one.

Students are allowed to wear any ACS spirit shirt with uniform bottoms and shoes for the remainder of the school year. Please read the purple letter sent home today regarding dress for Friday. This is a Relay for Life Fundraiser.  All proceeds go directly to the local drive.  Feel free to send a larger donation if you would like.

I know that “spinners” are the new rage.  And, yes, I know that they are supposed to help some children concentrate and focus.  But frankly, they are causing children to focus on them and not the instruction in the classroom.  We still have a lot of school work to complete. Please do not allow your child to bring them to school.  I have checked with other Northshore Catholic schools and, “spinners” are banned there also.  “Spinners” that disrupt class will be taken from the children and put in Ms. Pat’s office for parents to retrieve. Thanks for your cooperation.

“ACS Has Talent” has become a much anticipated annual event.  You are invited to attend on Tuesday, May 16th in the cafeteria at 1:30 P.M. We have some extremely talented students.  Join us to show your support.

We have 11 families with candy/money unaccounted for.  Please help Ms. Pat wrap this fund raiser up by finishing your sales and sending the money to school asap.

Last day for After Care is Friday, May 19th.  Please make your plans accordingly.

Last day of school for the 2016-17 school year is Monday, May 29th with End of Year Awards Day in church at 9:00 and report cards being disseminated at 11:00.
