As I am sure most of you have heard that Loretta Stewart, Mother of Tabetha Ezell, passed away on Sunday night. Her funeral Mass was celebrated today at Annunciation Catholic Church with Tabby’s beloved middle school students in attendance. Loretta was an avid supporter of ACS and never missed a school event. Her smiling face and gentle disposition will be missed by all of the ACS family. I know you join with me in offering Tabby our sincerest condolences.

Memorial Golf Tournament
Saturday is the scheduled date of the Kathy Arlt/William Nielsen Memorial Golf Tournament. The weather forecast is for thunderstorms with severe weather possible. We are waiting to make a final decision, but it appears that the tournament will be moved to Sunday at 1:00 p.m. That way everyone can attend church with their families before going to the Bogalusa Country Club. Even if you do not play, stop by the Club to sit outside and visit. The golf tournament is always fun. I hope you can join us!

Mass on Wednesday
Mass next week will be on Wednesday instead of Tuesday because of a mandatory meeting in New Orleans for Father Bru, Jim, Derik, and me.

Achievement Tests

Do not forget that the ACT Aspire Achievement Tests will be administered for grades 3-6 beginning on Monday, April 3-Friday, April 7th. Please do not schedule trips or appointments during this time because there will be NO make-up days.

Spring Book Fair
For the first time, ACS will have a Spring/Easter Book Fair that will begin on Friday afternoon, April 7th and will continue until Thursday, April 13th. Mr. Derik has lots of surprises and fun planned for those who participate.

Records Day
For those of you making vacation plans, students will not attend school on Monday, May 22nd for Records Day. Students will receive report cards on Monday, May 29th, and school will be dismissed at 11:00. This is a change. Please mark your calendars!
