Do not forget that the ACS Fall Fest is Saturday night. Room Mothers will be contacting you to help set-up, take down, and work a shift in your child’s class booth. Tables can be set up and decorated on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2:00-that is when the Dads will start cooking the Jambalya. We need men to help with this and to man the food booth that night. There will be lots of delicious food and fun for the whole family. The Wild West Book Fair will be open, the video game bus and jumpers will be here, each class will have a game booth, confetti eggs will be available, and Bert Burr will be on hand to take family fall portraits. The costume contest will take place at 6:00 PM. It does not have to be a Halloween costume, get creative and have fun with it! If you still have your decorated pumpkin, we would love to display it during the Festival. Just bring it back on Friday. Hopefully, the weather will be cooler and we can enjoy time with our families.

The Cake Walk is always a favorite activity. We need LOTS of cakes, cupcakes, candy, pies, cookies, whatever. Bring food items to the cafeteria any time on Friday.

This week is Cafeteria Appreciation Week at ACS. We are blessed to have three dedicated, hard working ladies who keep the staff and students well fed. Please remind your child to thank Ms. Kandi, Ms.Tonya, and Ms.Hannah for all they do!

The annual Veterans’ Day Program at ACS will begin on Friday morning at 9:15. Everyone is welcome to attend. Invite all veterans to join us as we honor their service to America. It is not too late to purchase a $2.00 flag to honor or remember a veteran. These flags will be used Friday and then they will be sent home with the students so that they can be given to the veteran.

All next week is the much anticipated Wild West Book Fair. It is going to be so big this year, that Mr. Derik is moving it to the cafeteria. He will be sending home lots of information regarding special theme days for dressing up and for visitors to attend.

For 7th graders who plan to attend a Cathoic high school next year, applications will be on line on Monday morning. There must be completed and returned to ACS by Wednesday. Ms. Terry will complete the paper work and we will turn them into the appropriate schools on Friday.

Mr. Derik has designed a wonderful Christmas shirt. You received an order form yesterday. Some groups are planning to use it for the Christmas program or for holiday activities. These orders must be turned in on Friday.
