The ACS Beta Induction ceremony was held Friday, November 2, 2018.  The new fourth grade members, the fifth grade officers, and the new middle school members were inducted.  ACS Beta Club is now in full swing.  Their latest service project was the Relay for Life Recess which raised $450.  This money is being donated to the local American Cancer Society.  Thanks for your continued support of all the Annunciation Service Projects.  Humble service is part of the ACS Mission Statement and a pillar of Catholic education.  The students and staff take seriously our responsibility to give back to those in need.  We strive to live out the gospel message that whatever we do to the least among us, we also do to Jesus.

We are currently selling American flags that will be used in Monday’s Veteran Celebration. All the proceeds will go directly to the local American Legion Post for the Ponemah Wreath Society. Wreaths will be placed on each veteran’s graveside at Ponemah Cemetery on Friday, December 14th at 1:00 PM.  Please come and invite a veteran to the Annunciation Veterans’ Program thisMonday at 9:00.  Students need to wear dress uniforms for this ceremony.

The long awaited and much anticipated ACS Book Fair is about to kick off.  This year’s theme is “The Enchanted Forest.”  Mr. Derik has some fantastic ideas for participation, and the books are amazing.  This is a great way to support the ACS Media Center and get some Christmas shopping taken care of. Read the information on back of this letter from Mr. Derik for full details.

Christmas shirts will be ordered before Thanksgiving break.  Complete the form and send your money in before Thursday, November 15th.

Tomorrow is Open House at St. Scholastica Academy in Covington beginning at 4:00.  All families of girls in grades 5-7 are encouraged to attend. Catholic High School applications will be available next week.

ACS will be closed for Thanksgiving holiday from Monday, November 19th through Friday, November 23rd.  There will be NO After Care on Friday, November 16th. Make your plans accordingly.
