During this season of giving thanks, I want to extend my sincere appreciation and gratitude to each of you for all you do at ACS. I hope that you will enjoy your vacation next week with your family and that God will continue to bless you with health and happiness. Classes will resume on Monday, November 27th.

Mr. Derik’s Wild West Book Fair continues through Friday. If you have not visited the cafeteria, please stop by to purchase a book. This is a good way to start your Christmas gift shopping. All proceeds go into the ACS library/ media center.

Mr. Derik has won Region II Educator/Leader of the Year for the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators (LACUE). This also puts him in competition at the state level. We will close school at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 29th so that staff members can go to New Orleans to be with him for his presentation. This is a huge honor for Derik and ACS. I congratulate him on this prestigious accomplishment.

Bert Burr and Santa will be at ACS on Monday, December 4th for pictures. This is always a popular event. Invite family and friends to take advantage of this opportunity.

Mark your calendars for the annual ACS Christmas Program on Tuesday, December 12th. Programs will be at 1:30 and 6:00 PM. Invite family and friends to enjoy this holiday tradition.

You are being sent an envelope that contains information regarding our annual drive for gifts for the less fortunate. Thanks for your help with this worthy project.

It is a good feeling to know that ACS helps to brighten the holidays for children who may not receive as many gifts as our students do.

There will be NO Aftercare on Friday. Please make your plans accordingly.

Enjoy the week off and try to not eat too much turkey!
