Fall Fest is Saturday from 5-8.  I hope that everyone turns out to support the school and have fun with your family. Bert Burr will be here to take beautiful family portraits.  The face painters from last week’s Blues Fest will be here to paint faces. Middle School is doing a Haunted Playground. Room Moms have planned cute booths.  There will be family STEM activities, wonderful goodies at the Cake Walk, and delicious food in the concession. The costume contest begins at 6:00. So, do not be late. Invite family and friends to come out and enjoy the festivities.

Pumpkins for the Pumpkin Contest need to be at school by noon tomorrow.  Goodies for the Cake Walk need to be dropped off in the cafeteria on Friday. If you send your money for tickets ahead of time you save money and avoid the lines Saturday.  Cost is $10 for 22 tickets. Saturday at the Fest, tickets will be $10 for 20 tickets. Here is a test to see who reads the pink letters. Write your name on a piece of paper and have your child return it to Ms. Terry for a Free Fall Fest Ticket!

Pet Blessing is Friday at 2:00.  Adults are invited to bring student’s pets that are caged or leashed. This is always a fun afternoon when children can display their animal family members.  Please come. Neighbors and friends are welcome to participate.

Otis Spunkmeyer orders and money are due on Monday morning.  Thanks for helping with this fundraiser. Delivery date is Tuesday, November 6th.

Teachers and students have been busy preparing writing papers and art for the Washington Parish Fair.  School items will be hung at the Fair Grounds next Wednesday for judging. Completion of Junior Fine Art Projects is the responsibility of families. You can drop those off to Ms. Pat by Wednesday morning.  Heather McDaniel will bring Junior Fine Arts to Franklinton for us. ACS will be closed for the Fair from Monday, October 15 through Friday, October 19th. There will be NO aftercare on Friday, October 12th.  Please plan accordingly.

Mr. Valenti distributed baby bottles to the students.  The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a drive to raise money to support the Right to Life.  The intention is that families discuss the importance of all life and that the family donates change to show their support.  Ideally, the child would do something special to earn the money. These bottles must be returned by Thursday, October 11th.  Thanks for your support and prayers for the unborn, as well as the elderly.

The date for Relay Recess has changed.  Please read the back of this letter for complete details.

Wow, October is a busy month marked by the end of the first nine weeks and lots of fun activities.  Thanks for being a part of it at ACS!!
