I am very grateful that Hurricane Nate bypassed Bogalusa. However, I was disappointed that we could not have the Fall Festival. It has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 11th. We will still have everything we planned including the costume contest. If you purchased tickets, Terry sent them home. Hang on to them until the Fest in November. Students who won free tickets will receive those closer to the Fall Fest. If your pumpkin is still good, bring it back and we will display it at the class booth. The pumpkins were great. There are still some at school. If you plan to enter yours in the Fair contest, be sure to stop by and pick it up this week.
RED RIBBON WEEK COMING UP

We will be out all next week for the Washington Parish Fair. When we return on Monday, October 23rd, it will be the 50th Day of School and Red Ribbon Week. Students are encouraged to dress in 1950’s clothes. There are many activities and special dress days coming up. Please refer to the ACS calendar so that your child will not miss out on the fun!

PEP RALLY IS THURSDAY
ACS Pep Rally is this Thursday at 2:30. This includes the Junior Cheerleaders. I am sure Coach Ann will have further instructions that she will send directly to those involved.

JUNIOR FINE ARTS IS DUE
Thursday is also the day that all Junior Fine Arts that you want to be entered in the Fair must be sent to school. Please be certain that everything is labeled properly.
RELAY RECESS IS FRIDAY

Relay Recess is Friday. All money raised will be given to the local American Cancer Society Relay for Life. For $1, students can wear pink/purple. For $5, students can paint toe and fingernails and spray their hair pink/purple. Any donated amount is appreciated. It is great fun for a great cause!

NO AFTERCARE THIS FRIDAY
There is NO AFTERCARE this Friday and also on Halloween. Make your plans accordingly!

GRANDPARENTS’ CELEBRATION
Friday of the week we return, October 27th, is our Grandparents’ Celebration. Room Mothers are in charge of gathering the refreshments for the reception. You will be contacted for a donation or an actual item. This is a highly anticipated event at our school. Be sure your child’s grandparents are aware of the date and time. We begin in church at 1:15.
