Welcome the 2019 and the second semester of school year 2018-19.  Time is flying past us. I hope that this new year will bring peace, health, and happiness to your family. We miss Mr. Derik, but welcome Janice Perkins back to third grade at ACS. Next week, Miss Sunny will assume the role of librarian/technology coordinator.

It hardly seems possible that we are beginning to plan for next school year.  When the school doors open in August, Annunciation will celebrate its 80th year of bringing educational excellence, character development, and humble service to generations of students.

Today is the first day to apply online for the Louisiana Scholarship program. ACS is accepting five scholarships for students who will enter kindergarten next year.  If you or your friends are interested, applications can be found at www.louisianabelieves.com/scholarship.  If you have questions, contact Ms. Pat.

Saturday is High School Application Day at Catholic High schools throughout the Archdiocese. Students who have applied for admittance must report to the school of their choice at 8:00 AM.

In two weeks, registration packets will be sent home with current students. Those planning to return to ACS next year need to complete the packet and return it to ACS as soon as possible. On the back of this letter, you will find reasons that make Annunciation a smart choice for your child’s education. I realize that families sacrifice to send their children to Annunciation, but it truly is an investment in your child’s future. Thank you for making the decision to entrust your children to our care.

Open House for new students will take place at ACS on Tuesday, January 22nd at 6:00 PM.  If you know any new family considering enrolling their child in Annunciation for next year, this is the first step of the process. Interested families are always welcome to visit our campus .Encourage them to schedule a tour at their convenience.
