Tonight at 5:30, there will be a meeting to discuss this year’s Spring Auction. Everyone is invited to attend. This year’s theme is “Under the Big Top”. Now is the time to solicit items for the Silent and Live Auction. We need all types of items and personal services. Room Mothers will contact you soon to ask for your help with a classroom project/basket, etc. These Room Mother inspired items are always huge hits. I am eager to hear about what each class chooses to do.

Everyone who attends says that the Auction is a real bargain and a lot of fun. PLEASE plan to join us on Saturday, March 10th. The tickets have been the same price for eight years--$30 per person/$50 per couple. Delicious food is served from Yo-Yo’s and desserts from Rachel Stewart. There are adult beverages and lots of great entertainment.

On Thursday, we will have our first Scratch Off/Gift Card Day. Students who bring in at least one Scratch Off or Gift Card can wear Black and Gold/Saints clothes to school. There will be several of these days leading up to the Auction. If you prefer to buy one gift card in a larger amount, you can count it for the entire process; or you can send Scratch Offs or small gift cards when we have each Scratch Off/Gift Card Day. All of these items will be used in the Auction.

Do not forget that Parent-Teacher conferences are planned for Friday. Please be on time so that teachers can stay on schedule. Most parents work, and we do not want to keep them from their jobs any longer than necessary. Teachers are eager to discuss your child’s progress with you. No Report Card will be issued without a conference being held. Thanks for your cooperation.

The Archdiocese of New Orleans is looking for lunchroom employees for schools throughout the Northshore. If you or anyone you know is interested, contact Kandi Bankston for more information.

Annunciation will be closed on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
