First Intel Teach Program in Bangladesh


Thirty Two teachers from  Adamjee Cantonment College, Bangladesh International School & College and Shaheed Bir Uttam Lt. Anwar Girls’ College recently attended the  four days long intensive INTEL TEACH (Getting Started) TEACHERS’ TRAINING  PROGRAM 2012 at Adamjee Cantonment College , from 16th April to 21st April , 2012. Colonel Saiful Islam, psc , Principal of Adamjee Cantonment College took the initiative to introduce the Intel Teach Program in Bangladesh for the very first time . The Intel® Teach Program improves teacher effectiveness through professional development .Intel Teach is the largest, most successful program of its kind with more than 10 million teachers trained in 70 countries.


Malini  Mukherjee, Intel certified senior Trainer  from India successfully conducted the training sessions everyday from 8am to 5pm. She trained teachers to integrate technology into their lessons and promote students’ problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills  in a 21st Century classroom environment .One of the aim of this training is to develop these 32 teachers as Master Trainers, who would further train teachers of more institutions gradually.


The Training program was followed by a closing ceremony chaired by Brigadier General Md Imamul Huda, psc, Commander, 86 Independent Signal Brigade, Dhaka Cantonment. Many renowned figures from public and private sectors came to join the closing ceremony. Presentations from the trainees also took place at the closing ceremony. Certificates are given to the trainees at the end of the ceremony.
