ABOUT THE PROJECT

Proposed Groundbreaking in March 2017. Support Goal of $750,000

The time has come for Eastern Alamance High School to provide up to date and more modern dressing facilities for our athletes and improved restroom facilities for our fans.

A group of interested local persons has begun a campaign to raise money to construct and furnish a new field house near the Fred Brady Athletic Complex. Such a building is long overdue. Our sister schools at Graham, Western, Cummings, Southern, and Williams High Schools have benefited from similar buildings for years.

Eastern Alamance High School now offers 23 varsity sports and 10 JV sports. There are 12 men's varsity and 5 men's JV sports, 11 varsity female and 5 female JV sports. 479 students were members of teams during the 2014-15 school year. Football leads the way with nearly 130 participants on the varsity and JV teams.

At this time, dressing and training facilities are provided only via mobile buildings, makeshift rooms, and very limited space. Currently restrooms for fans at Fred Brady Stadium consist of the original restrooms in the old concession stand and mobile toilets provided during sports seasons.

Improving the restroom facilities at the stadium is a top priority of this project. These new restrooms would be available for use during all outdoor events, including football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball, track, and tennis.
