Acheson Homework

We had another great week and survived our first full week of school!  In math, students are learning about integers.  We classified numbers into counting numbers, whole numbers, integers and rational numbers.  In reading, we discussed the reading process and are applying it to our own reading.  In social studies, we started on posters showing the five themes of geography.  It is wonderful getting to know one another and we'll have a fantastic year together!

We had a great week together starting to do more academic work.  In science, students started thinking like scientists.  They were challenged to create a paper bridge to hold 100 pennies and the tallest newspaper tower with only 20 cm of tape!  In social studies, students began to think like archeologists by examining mystery items and thinking about their uses.
