Wow - Can you believe the year is almost over...didn't it just start? I guess that's what happen when you blink - our little Kindergartens matured into "Firsties" and soon will be off to Second Grade. Well, not so fast....Here are some more details of the events listed in the Upcoming Events section. Please check back for more updates:

5/26: Talent Show K-2 9:45am
This is worth seeing. Since the separation of the grades into multiple shows, its not as long as it has been in the past. Its really fun to see the kids showcase their talents. There may even be a full class entry but you would have to come to find out!
5/27 Memorial Day Program 10:00-11:00
Each year around Memorial Day, the Douglas community remembers those who have died in wars. The program includes a sing-along, a band performance, original student poetry, and a guest speaker.
6/1 Japanese Graduation 10:40-11:10
Its so fun and entertaining to see your child in action (and get a massage as well!)
6/6 Douglas Day (Raindate 6/13)
Douglas Day is a day of outdoor fun and field events -- one of the school's oldest and most fun traditions. It runs year after year because parents and grandparents step in to run all of the field events. And some even take a turn in the dunk tank! We have many volunteer positions that will need to be filled. The online volunteer form will be available soon!
6/14 and 6/15Exhibition
These are the dates being held for the Exhibition. However, the details of which day or what time have not yet been finalized. Check back for details.
6/17 End of the Year Partay1:45-2:25
The name says it all!
6/22 Last Day (Early Release)
As excited as I am to have the summer with my kiddos - its always an emotional time as we have had a great class this year. But we know there will be new adventures in 2nd grade and Mrs. Maciel is just down the hall for a quick hello (or to drop off a Medium Black Iced coffee from DDs)
Share/Show and Tell
Here are our Sharing dates for this year. The students are invited to choose an object, collection, souvenir, photograph, award, song or some information to show or tell. Sharing is optional.
