Informational Interviewing

Informational interviewing is a great tool for high school students who want to find out about an occupational area.
  • It is personal -- you get to ask the questions that you want answered.
  • The information you get is current, not outdated like some printed information.
  • The process makes reasonable demands on the person being interviewed, only about 20 to 30 minutes of their time. And adults are often flattered when asked for their help and eager to assist young people.
