Dear Future Clague Parents and Guardians,

This school year is passing quickly and we have already started to plan for next year. Before you know it, your 5th grade child will be entering sixth grade and starting their middle school experience. Leaving elementary school and moving to the middle school can be stressful for both students and parents. At Clague Middle School, we are committed to making this transition a positive experience for both you and your child. Below is our transition schedule for parents and students.  Below is a summary of transition activities.

For Parents:

5th Grade Parent Orientation on Thursday April 4th at 6:30 PM. (Orientation for parents only).

  • The parent orientation program will begin in Clague’s auditorium. You will hear an overview of our middle school program. At the orientation you will learn about the 6th grade curriculum, classroom expectations, co-curricular opportunities for students.  I am confident that the parent orientation program will give you important information about Clague.

  • August Registration. Dates will be posted on the Clague website in June.  Please note that all student schedules are tentative through the first two weeks of school.

Transition events scheduled for future Cougar Pride members:

  • Friday December 13, 2018, 5th grade students visited CMS to participate in a music concert (Collage Concert).

  • March 2019, 6th grade Clague Counselor will visit 5th grade feeder school classes. 6th grade CMS Counselor elementary school visits.  5th grade teachers will be contacted during the second week of March.

  • Wednesday May 1, 2019 (Early Release Day for MS) 5th graders will visit Clague for student orientation in the afternoon beginning at 11:30. Students will tour the school, visit 6th grade classes and learn more about Clague Middle School.

  • Thursday May 16th, 2019  6th Grade Band, Orchestra and Choir concert 7:00PM Clague Auditorium.  (Optional activity not required)

In-District Transfer/ School Of Choice ( IDT/SOC) Wednesday June 5, 2019, (1:00-2:00PM- Clague Auditorium) “In District Transfer” and “School Of Choice”, incoming students for fall of next school year, are welcome to visit Clague for a meet and greet with counselors and principals.
