MBA Armstrong and Agbor Delphine, Cameroon

Hello, my parents named me; MBA Armstrong ACHA. I am grateful to them for this and since have adopted that and feel comfortable with. I was born some 35 years ago in Bessi, a small village in Batibo, in the North West region of Cameroon.

My dad was a soldier with the Cameroon army and carried us along each time he moved. As such, I have been to nine of the ten regions of Cameroon and had the joy of experiencing several cultural mixes.

I am a forester by training with a Higher National Diploma in Forestry. I have worked for several institutions and in different domains and capacities over the past thirteen years. Some of the areas are: Rural development and environmental protection, Biodiversity conservation, Institutional creation and capacity building, Sustainable Forestry and Environmental and social impact assessments. I have used some aspects of Geoinformation technology to accomplish my job in the past and find it fascinating to improve on my skills and profile in the domain. For this reason I decided to embark on studying further.

I now am enrolled at Masters Level studying GIS/Remote sensing Applied to Sustainable Territorial Management at the University of Yaoundé I.

I intend to after my studies use the acquired knowledge and skills to contribute towards a landscape approach to attaining sustainable development through responsible resources use practices.

I am happy to be part of this program. I am sure to learn a lot from you all and make great friends.

I enjoy swimming, basketball and music/dancing. I look forward to being with you all.
