Chapter 12 Challenge Project

I Want to go There!

You will be creating a brochure for 4 people going on a 5 day trip somewhere that is at least 200 miles away.

Cost: Estimate all possible costs for this trip/ then research the actual costs and create a table to organize and display this data. One possible cost is lodging so create a function table showing lodging costs for 1,2,3, and 4 people after researching a possible hotel cost for your destination. When this is complete,  find 3 activities 4 people could to do while they are there; and create function tables for the admission costs for your 3 chosen sights for 1,2,3 and 4  people.(You will need  to research how much these activities really do cost.).

Time:  Draw 2 analog clocks showing departure and arrival time for the trip. This should be determined after finding how long it takes to get there by plane.

Food:  Plan 3 meals a day for 4 people for the 5 day trip with a budget of $500. Figure out how much each person could spend on each meal during the trip in order to stay on budget.

Brochure: Organize your data, graphs and tables. Create a brochure that you can show people who are interested in your trip.

Your brochure should include the following:

_______ A destination that is at least 200 mile away

_______ 3 possible activities for your trip

_______ Function tables showing lodging and activity costs for 1,2,3, and 4 people

______  A list of the possible costs with estimated and actual cost comparison displayed in a graph

_______2 analog clocks showing arrival and departure times

_______A meal plan and dollar amount that each of the 4 people can spend per meal

_______A travel brochure including all of your findings with illustrations
