"Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right."

This year I want to explore our relationships with MATH! Below is my letter to Math, you will be asked to create your letter on the first day. We will revisit this letter at the end of the semester and see if your feelings have changed...

Math,

You and I never took the time to build a strong relationship, but I am willing to put in my time and effort to love you for who you are. I understand that we will not always get along or see eye to eye. You may just confuse the **** out of me! I want to show you off to the world like they have never seen you before. I want to talk about you like you're my high school crush. My students may not understand this at first. They may say I’m crazy and that math isn’t their type. Let’s be honest, you're not the most desirable. My hope is that they will value what you and I have come to show them. .

I owe this relationship to myself; to be open, transparent, giving, and forgiving! We can be that power couple that shows young minds that even when things are just flippin' hard we can problem solve our way through it together.

We can do math!
