THAI GOVERNMENT VISA LAWS FOR EXPAT VISAs IN THAILAND
Rules for expats wanting to reside in Thailand change. Following are the latest Thai Government visa rules. EXPAT MARRIAGE VISA THAILAND
Thai visa if married to a Thai wife or Thai husband.
In the case of a family member such as a Thai spouse, the visa criteria for consideration are:
- The alien must have been granted a non-immigrant visa (NON-IM).
- The alien must have proof of relationship as spouse both de jure (by law) and de facto (by fact).
- In the case of marriage to a Thai woman, the alien husband must earn an average annual income of no less than 40,000 Baht per month or must have no less than Baht 400,000 in a bank account in Thailand for the past two months to cover expenses for one year.

EXPAT RETIREMENT VISA THAILAND
The Alien:
- Must have been granted a non-immigrant visa (NON-IM).
- Must be 50 years of age or over.
- Must have evidence of having income o no less than 65,0000 per month; or
- On the filing date, the applicant must have funds deposited in a bank in Thailand of no less than 800,000 for the past 3 months. For the first year only, the applicant must have proof of adeposit account in which said amount of funds has been maintained for no less than 60 days prior to the filing date;
- Must have an annual earning and funds deposited with a bank totaling no less than 800,000 baht as of the filing date.
- A foreigner who entered the Kingdom of Thailand for retirement shall be subject to the following criteria:
(a) Must be 60 years of age or over and have an annual fixed income with funds maintained in a bank account for the past 3 months of no less than 200,000 baht or have a monthly income of no less than 20,000 baht.
(b) If less than 60 years of age but not less than 55 years of age, the applicant must have an annual fixed income with funds maintained in a bank account for the past 3 month of no less than 500,000 baht or have a monthly income of no less than 50,000 baht.
