My cage is very small.
Yet you can run forever.
Until you lose your breath.
Until your soles wear through.
Until your mind goes numb.
My bars are very strong.
Yet they don’t confine you.
You can change them.
You can break them.
You can forget them.
My floor is very cold.
Yet it feels warm to you.
It doesn’t break through.
It doesn’t crumble.
It doesn’t feel real.
My lock is unsolvable.
Yet you can open it.
And you can twist it.
And you can break it.
And you can lose it.
The world is open.
Escape is inevitable.
Nobody will stay grounded forever.
Nobody will stay the same.
Nobody will stay lost.
Your life is very long.
The world is very big.
The stars are very high.
The cage is a home.
But will you ever miss it?
