AWWA Ltd (AWWA)

AWWA’s journey to empower the disadvantaged began in 1970 with a group of caring volunteers coming together to support low-income families. Today, AWWA is a social service agency delivering a wide range of programmes and services for over 12,000 clients. These include early intervention for pre-schoolers, education and integration support for children and adults with additional needs, social assistance for vulnerable families, and care services for seniors. AWWA is Singapore-based, with an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status.

AWWA’s team of social workers, therapists, teachers, programme staff and management, as well as volunteers and donors, continue to strive to fulfil our mission of empowering the disadvantaged, and identifying and filling key social service gaps in the community. This aptly embodies our ethos of “People Giving to People”.

ISCOS ReGen Fund (IRF)

ISCOS ReGen Fund (IRF) is an approved IPC that supports the children and families of reformed offenders. These children are often susceptible to various factors such as low income, erratic parental behaviours, poor family relationships and poor academic performance. In fact, studies have shown that not only they are more likely to have low educational attainment, but there is also a higher likelihood for them to commit crimes, a phenomenon known as intergenerational offending. IRF currently manages the Fairy Godparent Programme that offers various academic and pro-social initiatives with the main aim to prevent intergenerational offending.

Singapore Repertory Theatre Ltd (SRT)

We, at SRT, have a dream that theatre should be accessible to all children regardless of means and financial background. Every year, we work with a number of student care centres, charities and organisations at the grassroots level, engaging children who often come from generational poverty and disadvantaged backgrounds. Exposure to the performing arts provide invaluable life skills such creativity, compassion, communication and self-expression.

This year, it is especially crucial, in a post pandemic world, that children go out and participate in activities that will help their learning journey, getting them off the screen. The SEF Fund celebrates 10 years of bringing the magic of theatre to 20,000 beneficiaries in that time. Help us realise the dream that ALL children have access to the theatre, by contributing to the SEF Fund.
