Attabur Rahman – Sound Enthusiast | Software Engineer | Cultural Promoter
Attabur Rahman, fondly known as Mr. Rahman in the Australian Bangladeshi community, is a passionate soul whose life has long been intertwined with music, culture, and technology. A self-driven artist, live sound engineer, and software professional, Attabur has spent over 30 years balancing the rhythm of art and the logic of code—with equal love and dedication.
From childhood, Attabur was immersed in the world of music—growing up in an environment enriched by iconic musicians, vibrant performances, and the spirit of cultural expression. Back in 80s Guitar in hand, he began his journey with rhythm and melody, eventually evolving into a performer, composer, and sound designer admired by both local and international communities.
Throughout his journey, Attabur has performed alongside some of the most renowned musical acts from Bangladesh and India—sharing the stage with legends such as LRB, Souls, Feelings, Bombay Vikings, Shvamani and Sonu Nigam. His performances span genres from folk to metal, and his deep appreciation for Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, and classic rock has shaped a uniquely versatile artistic style.
As a live sound engineer, Attabur has worked behind the scenes of some of the largest open-air concerts, including international productions like Ilaiyaraaja’s Bangalore concert and the SoundWaves Summer Festival in Sydney. His love for sonic precision is matched only by his curiosity in technology.
Professionally, Attabur is a Software Engineer and IT Specialist, with a strong background in enterprise systems, data integration, and digital transformation across industries. He holds a Master’s in Computer Applications from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-BHU), a Master’s in Professional Accounting (University of Ballarat), and several industry certifications. He blends his technical and artistic talents to create seamless experiences—whether it's designing system architecture or mixing sound for a cultural stage.
In 1999, he founded 360EventCenter, an independent platform born out of a passion to nurture community art, youth talent, and cultural harmony. Over the past two decades, the initiative has become a trusted name in community-based events, offering sound, lighting, stage production, and artist support for diverse audiences in Australia.
Attabur is inspired by artists like Ayub Bachchu, AR Rahman, Pink Floyd, Arijit Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Sonu Nigam, Joe Satriani, and Metallica, and believes music is not just an art—but a bridge between generations, cultures, and dreams.
When he's not writing code or performing live, you’ll find Attabur mentoring young artists, exploring new gear, working on automation setups for live shows, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with his family—his greatest pride.
🎶 “Music connects the dots between who we are, and who we aspire to be. Tech lets me make it real.” – Attabur Rahman
