This section is designed to help you successfully navigate the Online Campus and understand its functionality. Below, we've provided a broad overview and basic instructions to help you get started. We'll soon dive into more detailed information on how to edit your profile and course content.
MY MENU is the navigation portion on the left side of the page. You can show/hide it by clicking on MY MENU at the top right of the page. This is where you can access course areas like grades, calendar, modules, etc.
My Grades: all student grades and grade reports
Calendar: all local and global calendars and events
Module List: all course module folders grouped by General and Weeks 1 - 14
Home: the main landing page for the Online Campus that houses all of your courses
My Courses: not a link; embedded under the Home section
Site Administration: all administrator settings for users, courses, grades, plug-ins, appearance, etc.
In order to access your profile, you must first click the little arrow next to your name at the top right of the page. (see image to the right)
Once you access the Profile section, you will see a screen that looks similar to the image below. Below, find a brief description of each of the sections outlined in blue: User details, Course details, Miscellaneous, Reports, and Login activity.
Edit Profile: allows updates or changes to all profile settings
*This section will be covered in-depth on the next page.
Course Profiles: lists all courses you are associated with
Discussion Forum Posts: links to all discussion forum posts a user has made.
Discussion Forum Discussions: links to all discussion forum discussions a user has participated in.
Today’s logs: shows a chart and detailed log of all pages visited within the course for the current day
All logs: shows a chart and detailed log of all pages ever visited within the course
Outline Report: The Outline report helps instructors to collect and view a summarized version of an activity and grades in all the Activities and Resources in your course. The activities and resources are displayed in the same order as they are in the main course page.
Complete Report: The Complete report helps instructors to view a detailed list of an individual student's last log and activity in the Activities and resources in your course, including detailed contribution to any of the various types of course activities. The activities and resources are displayed in the same order as they are on the main course page.
Browser Sessions: shows a table of user's active session that includes columns for Log in, Last Access, Last IP Address, and Action
Grades Overview: shows grades for Courses I am Taking and links to the gradebook for Courses I am Teaching
First Access to Site: displays time/date stamp for the first time you accessed the course
Last Access to Site: displays time/date stamp for the most recent time you accessed the course
Last IP Address: displays the last IP Address you used during your last access to the course
A breadcrumb is a type of navigation scheme that reveals the user's location in a website or web application. It allows you to easily navigate to previously visited locations simply by clicking the link in the breadcrumb trail. See the example below.
In the current section, you would be viewing Today's logs in the course. The breadcrumbs (shown in the image below) indicate that you went from Profile to Reports to Today's logs.
Clicking on Reports in the breadcrumb trail (as highlighted in the image below), will take you back to the Reports page of the course.
Clicking on Profile in the breadcrumb trail (as highlighted in the image below), will take you back to the Profile page of the course.
