Whether you are a brand new faculty member or have been teaching on a 2U powered program for years, we have many opportunities for you to develop new knowledge and skills that can empower you to great an effective learning environment for your students. Onboarding Training Options
If you are creating a new course with 2U, schedule training sessions to learn more about Course Planner, Live Session Classroom and the Learning Platform. Our trainers will help you understand how to leverage to opporunities in our technology to develop a great course for your section instructors to teach and your students to learn from.
New section instructors will participate in a training process that consists of two components: self-paced modules and live training sessions. The live training sessions will provide an opportunity to apply and practice what you have learned in the modules with a Faculty Training Specialist. Continuing Faculty Options
Returning faculty can select this option to create a 30 or 60 minute, customized training session focused on specific topics from strategies to enhance your online facilitation skills to navigating the Gradebook to discussing how to incorporate the concepts from the last Enrichment Seminar.
Zoom Playgrounds engage faculty in guided exercises for specific functions of your live session classroom to increase your comfort with utilizing technology.
We offer 60 minute seminars on a variety of topics relevant to faculty each week with the goal of empowering faculty to learn effective teaching practices in the classroom.
Specialty training options
This 45 minute session is designed for those who are not expecting to teach a course but need to navigate 2U's learning platform and/or access their Zoom Classroom. Your Training Specialist will provide you with a basic overview of the most utilized tools and help you identify what next steps for training will be most beneficial for your needs.
This 45 minute session is for Course Designers, Lead Faculty, and Course Coordinators who are looking to update their course's Live Session Plans in Course Planner. This training can be scheduled at anytime during the life of a course built in Course Planner.
