What should I do after receiving an Inquiry or Request to Book?

Receiving an Inquiry

If you happen to be logged in to your 2ndaddress account when a Guest sends you an inquiry, please click on the "Inbox" button found on top of the 2nd Address page to view the new Guest inquiry and proceed to the 4th screenshot on this page. If not, by default you, will be sent an email to your email address, letting you know that you've received an inquiry, simply click on the email to view it, as shown:

When you open the email, the email should show information about the booking, when you scroll down. Once you've reviewed the email, you may reply to the Guest by clicking on the "Reply to (Name of the Guest)" button just like the screenshot here:

You will be brought to the 2nd Address main page and asked to log in if you're not already logged in.


Once logged in, you should see the conversation thread. Type in a message in the long box at the bottom and click the send button, to communicate with the Guest.

Review the full reservation details such as the total payout you are to receive (Your Payout tab), dates, number of Guests and the Guest's reason for booking, if included in the message/inquiry. Once ready, click on the "Invite to Book" button found on the upper right corner of this conversation thread, to send the Guest an invitation to book your listing as shown:

A pop-up window should appear, simply click on "Send Invite".

Once the invitation you've sent to book the listing is accepted, a Request to Book notification will be sent to your email address, the conversation thread will also show that the Guest had booked.








Receiving a Request to Book

After receiving a Request to Book, (Some listings are allowed to receive requests to book without a Guest inquiring which speeds up the booking process, you may reach out to 2nd Address to learn more about this) review the full reservation details such as the total payout you are to receive, dates, number of Guests and reason for booking. You should also receive an email notification as shown below.




When a Guest books a listing, 2nd Address starts performing a full review of the reservation. Once the 2nd Address approval is completed, you will receive a separate email for your confirmation. You may either click “Accept” or “Change/Decline”.



Once you’ve accepted, the confirmation email should be sent to you, just like the screenshot below:




2nd Address will now allow you to exchange contact information, you may start sending check in and check out instructions. Congratulations on your confirmed reservation! To monitor the payout dates and amounts, you may return to the conversation thread and click on the "Your Payouts" tab to review.
