126th “Petko Yu. Todorov” Primary School was founded in 1953. It is named after the famous Bulgarian writer Petko Yurdanov Todorov.
The school educates children from first to seventh grade, and there are preschool groups for children aged 5 and 6 years. Currently, the school has about 670 students and over 60 teachers, as well as resource teachers, a child psychologist and a pedagogical advisor.
The 126th Primary School offers various educational activities, and in addition to the compulsory subjects, the children also have additional classes in Bulgarian language and literature, mathematics, English and fine arts. In addition, they can study Spanish as an elective subject, participate in the school choir or practice various sports.
The school has excellent facilities, which includes:

3 classrooms, which are equipped with interactive whiteboards;
2 gyms and a fitness center;
school canteen;
Classes for all students are held in the morning during both school periods, and children from first to fourth grade can have full-time activities. In the afternoon classes the children can combine the preparation of homework with additional sports and activities of interest (at their request).
Students regularly participate in various competitions, art exhibitions and other events, and the school is proud of their achievements. Among the numerous awards and successes of the students from the 126th Primary School are the awards from:
drawing competitions for children, including international competitions in France and Belgium;
international European poster competition "Children's right to protection";
the “Breaking the Silence” initiative;
various cups and medals from sports competitions.
