There isn't a home around that should be without one of these handy, dandy, good looking shoe horns! Take it from me, once you have used one of these gadgets in the quest of getting shoes onto your feet, you will never know how in the heck you managed without one!

Sweetling and I have become somewhat older in the last few years ( I have no idea how that happened), and with that tumultuous event, comes a lot of little aches and pains. Sometimes the aches and pains are bigger than at other times. Suffice it to say, that lately, we have had a few of the bigger aches.

There is nothing like trying to wedge your feet into your shoes, when a bout of sciatica hits. Now if you are lucky, this will last only a couple of days......then again it could also last a couple of months!

Getting your shoes on your feet while trying to keep you back aligned so that you don't crumble to the floor in a heap, is almost impossible if you have to reach down. That is when this great little device will be worth it's weight in gold!

The trip to the chiropractor will be most successful if you have shoes on your feet, especially when you are driving yourself to his or her location. Plus in the middle of winter (it's just now starting to look like spring), that would be an impossible feat (sorry, I couldn't resist)!

This handy dandy tool would make a wonderful gift for anyone who hasn't yet reached our milestones of age, or who hasn't yet tried putting on their shoes with this aid.

When I had my dressmaking shop, this tool was always handy, those brides and bridesmaids trying on their dresses with their new shoes, always required some added assistance. I think I could have sold a whole bunch of those back then (and I didn't think of that till right now! Sheesh) In the shoe shops, the clerks always use a shoe horn to get your foot comfortably wedged into a new pair of soles. so why not at home! Even though your shoes will have been worn in, the shoe horn will still make slipping into them, easier and faster!

***One other great use for this shoe horn, is that you can use it to help water your plants. If you are anything like me and have a window full of potted lovelies, watering the ones furthest away is a real chore. Not anymore, use the shoe horn to deliver the water to the pots without having to move them all around! So you see, now there are two great uses for this handy dandy shoe horn!
