You don't really notice that you are getting older, time just slips by one day at a time, then one day you wakeup and realize that you can't stop the clock, so you might as well except it and laugh your way through those senior moments.

This book is a lighthearted look at the senior moments, which is a good laugh, especially with your life which has taken you years to get there, hopefully you will take it in your stride and except it, as I have heard of quite young adults having these forgetful moments, so you haven't got it on your own, it's a matter of learning to live with it.

One in particular that I can relate to "lost ad found", how many times have you put something away so it won't get lost and then you can't find it because you can't remember were you put it, sometimes this thing has been lost for many years before I have come across it and wonder how it got there, that is a senior moment, but it's not a disaster.

The author Karen O'Connor is a writing consultant, and award-winning author of 75 books.

Her book "Getting Old Ain't for Wimps" has sold more than 245,000 copies, it takes a look at perils of growing older and those senior moments are one of them.

What is a Senior Moment?

It is a explanation to explain a error in memory, it's not a memory problem, that is a condition like Alzheimer's and Dementia which isn't normal, they need medical help, but a "Error in Memory" is common among older people, it is just that you need more time to think to retrieve information (like peoples names is a bad one for me), maybe it's because you have more information in the brain, than the younger age group, and it takes longer to sort it out, so saying it's a senior moment it just a way of excusing a lapse in memory.

Just laugh it off, if it happens to you, as laughter is contagious, and the person you have just had the memory lapse will laugh with you, because there is nothing wrong it's just a error that even the young can have, if they replying to a question with a quick answer, or even annoyed about being asked something they don't want to answer and sometimes it makes them become confused and cannot think, which is a "junior moment". Ha-Ha. See we all have them.
