Mrs. Houck's Classroom

Dear Families of Berkeley Elementary Students, 

I am incredibly excited to be working with the students of Berkeley Elementary! This is my 10th year at Berkeley! I feel incredibly privileged to be working with such  an amazing group of colleagues, staff, and students.  

I am one of three Academic Support Services teachers at Berkeley!  I work with children in kindergarten and grade 1. I provide in-class support and small group instruction for children who need additional support in reading, writing and/or math. During in-class support, I will be working cooperatively with the classroom teachers. I will be able to provide individualized instruction to help clarify and assist all students as needed. Small group instruction will take place in my room (#6) to address specific academic needs. The goals of the Academic Support Program is to assist children to be able to perform at or near grade level, meet the diverse needs of students, and to create conditions for student success. Parent support and input is invaluable in the success of my students. I would be happy to schedule individual conferences to discuss student plans and progress.
