Like to journal/write/practice yoga but often get stuck in your own head, overthinking? Me too! 

My class One True Thing combines gentle movement, restorative stillness, and journaling prompts to help us listen to our intuition more than our busy minds. We'll try to stay open to deep listening, in hopes of hearing just one true thing amidst all the noise.

I am a Yoga Alliance Certified RYT-200 and I'm certified in both Curvy Yoga and Accessible Yoga. My classes are open to everybody and every body; I'm passionate about accessibility and authenticity. 

Don't think yoga is for you? As a quirky person in a bigger body, neither did I...  until I found the right teachers.

This is one of my rescue dogs, Stanley, doing a down dog with one of his favorite squeaky toys. Squeaky toys are optional, but I suggest having some props around: blankets, pillows/cushions/bolsters, blocks/sturdy books, and a strap/belt so you can make each pose your own.

For me, yoga is a pathway for easing anxiety, working toward self-acceptance, and cultivating balance in my mind and body. A former special educator and instructional designer, I’m a teacher at heart and I strive to make my classes accessible to everyone who practices with me. 

My goal is to help people meet themselves where they are with compassion and deep listening, focusing more on what yoga feels like on the inside than what it looks like on the outside.

Yoga props are an amazing way to customize your practice to your body in each moment of your practice. My favorite prop is a rolled blanket or bolster to support my sore low back and hips while seated.

My sweet rescue dogs, Stanley and Leo, love to hang out on my mat and often join online classes (especially when there's a sun spot or heating pad available).
