I.D.E.A. Journal Club

Welcome to the homepage of the Yale "Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity in Astronomy" (I.D.E.A.) Journal club.

We aim to educate ourselves on the systemic racism and sexism within academia and astronomy through the reading and discussion of books, articles, and research scholarship. We will take away meaningful, actionable strategies that can be employed within our department to make it a more just, more equitable place that supports both research and the community of researchers it hosts.

This website contains a running list of the reading materials and discussion summaries from our journal club events, as well as the proposed actions which have resulted from the ideas these discussions have generated. Click here to read more about the journal club's structure as well as our code of conduct.
