Reverse osmosis ( RO) System
Reverse osmosis ( RO) is a water purification process that removes ions, unwanted molecules and larger particles from drinking water using a partially permeable membrane. As a result, the solute is kept on the membrane's pressurized side and the pure solvent is allowed to pass to the other side.
Reverse osmosis removes contaminants from unfiltered water, or feed water, when pressure forces it through a semipermeable membrane. Water flows from the more concentrated side (more contaminants) of the RO membrane to the less concentrated side (fewer contaminants) to provide clean drinking water.
Reverse Osmosis technology is effective at filtering out most forms of bacteria. As with all filtration systems however, in order for RO to effectively remove bacteria, the filter must be replaced regularly and installed correctly.
