A Service-Disabled Vietnam-era Veteran, at the age of 19 he was commissioned as the youngest Warrant Officer/Pilot in the United States Army.
After completing his military service flying Huey Helicopters, Cropper transitioned into IT, starting his own software company. As a leader in early OLTP (Online Transactional Processing) Tom’s software (AVOPS) was used to take the first airline reservation on the Internet.
After 9/11 Tom developed Knowledge Management systems as part of the nationwide War on Terror. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff designated JLLIS (Joint Lessons Learned Information System) Tom authored as the KM Program of Record for all branches of the Department of Defense and all agencies of the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Currently qualified as an Authoritative Subject Matter Expert (ASME) on all things AI (Artificial Intelligence), Tom is the author of three books on the subject. He is currently working on the fourth book in the series, Practical AI for You.

Husband to 1, father to 2, and uncle to 225, Tom was ordained in 2007 and as a missionary to Tamil Nadu, India, founded Love In Action Society Inc. a 501(c)3 non-profit that supports the Michael Job Centre, a large girls-only Christian orphanage near Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, in Southern India.
After returning from his missionary work in India, Tom joined his wife, Long-Suffering (Tina) supporting her store at Rt 13 Outlet Market in Laurel, Delaware, Store C-22. Open Fri-Sat-Sun come taste her Amish Friendship Bread. And...
Tom fills the rest of his time running Pelaton Knife Sharpening. If you need pocket, hunting, and kitchen knives sharpened, drop them off at 501 W Main St, Salisbury, MD 21801 (next to Mad Hatter Cafe) from 10-5 M-F. Making things sharp since 1968, he has the touch for honing in on a keen edge.
