About me
Greetings, everyone! Welcome to my homepage.
I am currently a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering (MechSE) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) being advised by Prof. Prashant Mehta.
I received my M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at UIUC, and my B.E. degree in Mechatronics Engineering at Zhejiang Unviersity (ZJU) in Hangzhou, China.
My hometown is Nanjing which is a both historic and modern city in China. I love singing, cooking, hiking, and playing table tennis. I played for UIUC table tennis coed team for 4 years and now I just play for fun after my "retirement". If you want to learn more about my "off-campus" life, see Fun page.
Research summary
My primary research focuses on control theory and applications in the broad field of bio-inspired robotics. In particular, I integrate biophysical principles into mathematical models and dynamical systems, and develop model-based / learning-based algorithms for estimation / control problems in both simulation and robotic applications. Check out my research page for more details! Also welcome to take a glance at my other projects. A list of publications and preprints can be found here.
I always bring my passion to my work and find joy in every aspect of my career. Driven by challenging problems, I am constantly eager to develop innovative solutions. As a quick learner, I thrive on continuous learning and embrace new skills and technologies. I also excel in collaborative environments, enjoying the opportunity to work alongside individuals from diverse disciplines and backgrounds. I value making contributions as well as getting recognition.
